CEB celebrates 15 years with CMI Group

Cockerill Engineering Beijing (CEB), one of the currently 5 Chinese entities of the Industry Sector, celebrated their 15 year anniversary with the CMI Group in December 2018.
The joint venture between BSIET, the design institute of China’s leading steelmaker Shougang Group, and CMI Industry in 2003 has been a decisive step for CMI in their expansion into one of the most important markets in the world. Since then, CMI has been consistently growing in China and has since contracted not less than 9 galvanizing lines with Shougang Group.
The CEB team celebrated their 15th anniversary ceremony during their annual Christmas Party in December 2018. The ceremony was held in a resort close to the famous Great Wall of China, which some of our Chinese colleagues visited in the morning, while others where participating in other team building activities organized at the resort.
In the evening the entire team enjoyed a meal together during which CEB’s Company Manager, Mathias CHRISTIAEN honored those being with the company for over 10 years. As such, 19 of the currently 57 employees received “Thank You Medals” that had been made especially for the occasion.
To mark this special day, all employees have been presented with a bouquet of flowers made of chocolate… A nod to our Group culture, as Belgian chocolate is definitely known all over the world!
