Renewal of John Cockerill SA Board of Directors: Sophie Dutordoir and Vincent Trevisan appointed as directors

On May 30, 2024, the Annual General Meeting of John Cockerill SA approved the appointment of Sophie Dutordoir and Vincent Trevisan as directors of John Cockerill SA. These two newcomers take over the mandates left vacant by Louis Smal and Paul Thonon, both of whom resigned in February 2024.

Sophie Dutordoir, currently CEO and Chairman of the Management Committee of SNCB, has been spokesperson for several Belgian ministers, CEO of Electrabel, Fluxys and the Energy Benelux and Germany division of GDF Suez (Engie). She is also an independent director of Aveve and Haffner Energy, a trustee of the Donation Royale and a member of the FEB Strategic Committee. As an independent director of John Cockerill SA, Sophie Dutordoir brings to the Board her extensive experience as a company director in sectors familiar to John Cockerill, as well as her knowledge of Belgian institutions and her strong human values.

Vincent Trevisan has known John Cockerill for over 20 years, having worked for the steel company Cockerill Sambre, then as a senior partner at Deloitte. At the end of his tenure with Deloitte, Vincent Trevisan became Family Officer of Ebenis, John Cockerill’s majority shareholder. He joins the Board as a director representing the shareholder. Vincent Trevisan brings a wealth of experience in finance, M&A, tax and corporate law to the Group’s Board of Directors.
