John Cockerill receives acceptance for three new effluent treatment plants at the Framatome Jarrie site

October 15th 2024
Last summer, John Cockerill Proserpol, the Group’s industrial water treatment entity, completed the acceptance of the three plants supplied for the Framatome plant in Jarrie, France, a key player in the nuclear industry.
This crucial step has validated both the performance of the physico-chemical installations (coagulation, flocculation, decantation) for the treatment of liquid effluents from the workshops dedicated to zirconium production, and the control of the project execution in a demanding environment in terms of quality and safety.
The Jarrie site, which supplies over a third of the world’s zirconium production, uses a process that is unique in the world, combining complex extractive chemical and metallurgical operations to transform this metal.
John Cockerill Proserpol was responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the effluent treatment equipment, which meets the most stringent environmental requirements!
With this latest operational success, John Cockerill confirms its position as market leader in the treatment of effluents containing various metal particles, and asserts its expertise in the implementation of innovative and efficient solutions to meet environmental challenges and preserve water resources.
