John Cockerill UVK has been honored by the Baowu Group as a Global Premier Supply Chain Partner, a recognition awarded to a select group of top-performing global suppliers at an event held in China.

Isabelle Widmer – Head of John Cockerill Metals (Europe), had the privilege of receiving the award from Mr. Hu Wangming, Chairman of Baowu Group.

This recognition celebrates John Cockerill’s consistent commitment to innovation, reliability, and sustainable steelmaking technologies — qualities that set us apart in the global steel supply chain. Our advanced solutions, long-term technical collaboration, and shared drive for excellence have made us a trusted partner to major steel producers worldwide.

A special appreciation goes to our Chinese entity, John Cockerill Industry Technologies (Beijing), and its dedicated team, whose strong on-ground support combined with the technical expertise of John Cockerill UVK has been instrumental in advancing the Acid Regeneration Plant (ARP) projects for Baowu Steel. Their collaboration and unwavering commitment exemplify the spirit of global teamwork that defines John Cockerill. With two large ARPs successfully in operation since 2022, ARP #3 currently under construction, and ARP #4 set to follow next year, these projects stand as the largest ARPs in the world, marking a proud milestone for our global partnership.
