John Cockerill strengthens its position in cooling activities and expands into the United Kingdom by taking over Hamon UK

Following the acquisition of the cooling activities of the ex-Hamon Group in Belgium, France and Spain in 2022, then in Korea and Indonesia, John Cockerill continues its acquisition strategy by taking over key assets of Hamon UK, to be incorporated in John Cockerill Hamon UK.

In perfect alignment with its ambitions and industrial project, John Cockerill has just acquired the cooling activities of the ex-Hamon Group in the United Kingdom. This new acquisition strengthens the Group’s position in cooling with expertise in line with its offer in the energy business.

Just as the acquisition of the ex-Hamon activities in Belgium, France, Spain, Korea and Indonesia, this operation covers all the technologies related to Cooling, the Hamon brand, as well as the customer service know how and local presence, throughout its performing team. This acquisition is key to take full advantage of synergies between the Group’s entities, and to complete the range of products in a country where John Cockerill has until now counted only one entity.

The Group thus completes its geographical coverage for its cooling tower offering alongside recovery boilers, industrial boilers and air condensers. Through this operation, John Cockerill is also maintaining strategic activities for European industry and energy under European control. John Cockerill is delighted with this operation, which will enable the Group to integrate new teams, pursue projects and take on new challenges together. With this new string to its bow, John Cockerill is reaffirming its commitment to being a key player in decarbonised energy and responsible industrial production worldwide.
