The new ‘Getting to Work’ safety training course offered by the Talent Institute

July 25th 2025
In the south of France, the Talent Institute has just launched a new training course: ‘La mise au travail’ (Getting to work). This new module addresses an issue often raised by employees, namely that safety training courses are sometimes too theoretical. Considered too abstract, they struggle to engage teams and could even lead to disengagement.
In response to this strong demand from the field, the Institut des Talents is adapting and implementing this new training programme. Emmanuelle Flanderinck, Head of the centre, explains: “The “Mise au travail” training programme is based on three principles:
- practical: it is based on real-life situations that are close to the everyday experiences of teams;
- participatory: it creates the conditions for raising awareness through experimentation, dialogue and collective reflection;
- engaging: it brings to life the importance of getting to work by allowing everyone to understand why each step is essential.
Our goal was to create a dynamic, practice-oriented training course that meets the real needs of the field. Adapted to our industrial environments, the Getting to Work training course helps to instil the right reflexes, realign practices and strengthen cohesion around safety, quality and performance requirements.”
This training course was developed in collaboration with the QSHE department, in particular with Laetitia Court, SHES Manager for France. It is led by Régis Galiano, Technical Manager at the Institut des Talents, who has extensive experience in the field, enabling him to offer learners a concrete and immersive operational foundation.
By the end of August, we will have trained more than 80 people and the feedback has already been very positive. Regulatory aspects, best practices, analysis of work and its environment, mastery of safety and prevention rules, role-playing and feedback are some of the important topics covered in the training.
Guillaume Renzi, Deputy Director for the Southern Region, concludes: ‘This training provides a 360° view that enables teams to understand what is required in terms of technical, regulatory, safety and working environment aspects. Thanks to this module, we are raising our standards even further, particularly in terms of day-to-day safety.’
