John Cockerill installs an integrated renewable energy system at Pardis’ Lock’o site in Belgium
October 16th 2024
At the end of 2023, Pardis had commissioned John Cockerill to install an integrated renewable energy system at its Lock’o site in Frameries (Belgium). After a preliminary FEED study, John Cockerill took charge of the study, delivery, and installation of a complete energy system, including 1.5 MWp of photovoltaic panels, a 2.5 MW / 5 MWh AC Li-ion battery and 13 electrical charging stations. The whole installation will be controlled by our Energy Management System (EMS), entirely developed by John Cockerill.
This EMS harnesses the power of complex algorithms to optimize asset performance and maximize plant efficiency and profitability.
At present, 1.35 MWp of photovoltaics have been installed on the roof, as well as AC charging stations with a capacity of 2 x 11 kW each. The remaining photovoltaic panels will be installed in the coming weeks. At the same time, our teams are working on the implementation of our Energy Management System, adapting it to the specific needs of our customer. The EMS will maximize the efficiency of battery energy storage, site self-consumption, and the provision of the system to enable grid services.
John Cockerill is proud to meet the needs of our times for Pardis and to contribute Belgium’s energy transition. Helping our customers to decarbonize their activities and produce more sustainably is a great pride.
