Europorte and Beacon invest in John Cockerill’s transport solutions to improve 10 Euro4000 locomotives

Transurb, the John Cockerill subsidiary specialized in offering tailor-made solutions in railway and urban transport, has been commissioned by Europorte and Beacon to modernize Europorte’s fleet: 10 Euro4000 locomotives will be equipped with ETCS (European Train Control System) technology.

Transurb will be in charge of the global project & communication management and guide the certification process of the retrofitted vehicles. John Cockerill Locomotives will perform the onboard ETCS installation and related design.
