CMI to supply a Continuous Galvanizing Line to Anhui Masteel Engineering & Technology Group Co Ltd. (China)

CMI Industry will supply a Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL) to Anhui Masteel Engineering & Technology Group Co Ltd. in China. This CGL features the full spectrum of CMI’s process technologies: multi-stage cleaning section, vertical annealing furnace (incl. CMI’s L-Top math model and jet cooling system with energy recovery), air-knife system, APC Blowstab low vibration cooling system, inline skin pass mill and tension leveler, chemical roll-coat post treatment, side trimmer and exit shear.
To assist its customer in his effort, CMI Industry will also provide the necessary technical assistance and know-how for the production and subsequent certification of the produced automotive grades.
This new galvanizing line will process strip thicknesses ranging from 0.25 to 2.0 millimeters, and widths up to 1,430 millimeters. The material grades will range from deep-drawing steels, hot-formed and high-strength steels, to dual-phase steels. Besides the traditional Gi coating, the new line is designed to optionally process aluminized (AluSi) coatings. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
