Bernard Serin decorated with the Legion of Honor: our President promoted to Chevalier

Bernard Serin received the Legion of Honour on Wednesday in Metz. Our Chairman was promoted to the rank of Chevalier. Edmond Pachura, CEO of Sollac from 1985 to 2000, presented him with the insignia.

Edmond Pachura worked for fifteen years with Bernard Serin at Sollac: “Throughout his career, Bernard Serin showed and developed his human sense, his respect for people and partners, and the cult of customers. He invests himself fully in his activities with communicative energy and enthusiasm. He is a visionary and daring leader of men. Through his commitment and his concern for the common good, Bernard Serin gives his letters of nobility to the profession of entrepreneur. France and Europe need him more than ever. And it is only fair that it should recognise and value its own.”

This distinction is a source of pride for the John Cockerill Group, of which Bernard Serin has been the main shareholder since 2002, and a just recognition for all that he has accomplished in the service of industry, of his country, but also of his heartland regions of Lorraine and Wallonia.
