John Cockerill inaugurates its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Vietnam

Francois Michel (Group CEO), Jean Gourp (President Asia-Pacific) and our teams officially inaugurated John Cockerill’s Asia-Pacific offices in Ho Chi Minh City, as part of the Belgian State visit to Vietnam that took place this week.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister-President of Wallonia Adrien Dolimont, H.E. Nguyen Van Thao, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Head of Mission to the European Union, H.E. Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, and a series of partners, institutions and customers.

Since 2023, our Group has gradually established its Asia-Pacific Hub in Vietnam as an innovation, engineering, services and project implementation centre to meet the needs of the Asia-Pacific region and the Vietnamese domestic market in terms of energy transition, including, for instance, high efficiency Heat Recovery Steam Generators, cooling systems, biomass valorisation and thermal storage solutions. In parallel, John Cockerill APAC supports the development of the entire Group portfolio in the region.

This inauguration is a new milestone in our development in Vietnam. John Cockerill is proud to become a strategic partner of the country, as our technological solutions can particularly meet Vietnam’s needs in terms of energy transition, industry decarbonization, steel industry and defense.
