John Cockerill Defense Partners with Viettel to Co-Develop Advanced Land Defense Systems for Global Markets

John Cockerill Defense and Viettel Group today officially signed a Partnership Agreement establishing a long-term cooperation framework to develop, produce and market a range of advanced, high-technology land-defence systems.

This strategic collaboration aims to leverage Viettel’s strength in defence electronics, sensors, systems integration and production, and John Cockerill Defense’s strength in land weapon and vehicle systems design, development, production and marketing. These strengths are complimentary and provide a firm foundation for growth.

The Partnership Agreement was formalised at the Embassy of France in Vietnam, in the presence of Mr. Éric Lombard, Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty (France), and Mrs. Phan Thị Thắng, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade (Vietnam).

The agreement was signed by Mr. Nguyễn Vũ Hà, CEO of Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation, and by Mr. Thierry Renaudin, CEO of John Cockerill Defense.

The signing of the Partnership Agreement during France’s State Visit to Vietnam strengthens the mutually beneficial ties and the spirit of partnership between the two countries.
