September 25th 2025

John Cockerill completes a major drinking water access project that contributes to improving living conditions, public health, and sustainable development in Côte d’Ivoire.

Franck Pasqualini, President of John Cockerill Engineering and Services Africa, attended the inauguration of these water infrastructure facilities in Toumodi on September 18, led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé and attended by Minister of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Bouake Fofana, Minister of Transport Amadou Kone, Director General of the National Office for Drinking Water Ibrahiman Berte, and Carole van Eyll, Belgian Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire.

This large-scale project aims to strengthen the drinking water supply system for the city of Toumodi and surrounding areas, drawing water from the Bandama River.

The new infrastructure will increase local production from 7,000 to 17,000 m³/day and storage capacity from 900 to 2,800 m³. These new facilities will provide drinking water to more than 100,000 inhabitants, making a tangible contribution to improving their living conditions and public health.

Congratulations to our teams for the completion of this major water project!
