John Cockerill Defense showcases cutting-edge solutions at DSEI 2025

September 08th 2025
At the upcoming DSEI 2025 exhibition in London (booth N10-116), John Cockerill Defense will unveil its latest innovations in modular turrets, training systems, and integrated protection solutions. With a legacy of excellence and a commitment to future-ready defense technologies, the company continues to push the boundaries of operational capability and adaptability.
Cockerill® 1030: Compact Power, Maximum Versatility
The Cockerill® 1030 turret system will be on full display, demonstrating its unmatched modularity and firepower in a lightweight configuration. Designed for high mobility platforms, the 1030 integrates a 30mm cannon, advanced optics, and scalable protection. Lightweight (<1.5t with level 2 ballistic protection) and compact (1.5m ring diameter) with a capacity of up to 200 rounds, equipped with 2 digital sighting systems, able to elevate to 70°, and with the ability to integrate a wide range of accessories such as AT missiles, rockets, APS, 360° close observation…
It offers multi-role flexibility—from reconnaissance to direct engagement—making it ideal for modern combat environments. Its compact design and low weight also make it perfectly suited for amphibious platforms, enabling seamless transition between land and water operations without compromising firepower or survivability.
Cockerill® 3105: Firepower for the Future
Also featured is the Cockerill® 3105, a latest generation turret system that combines a powerful 105mm gun designed and manufactured by John Cockerill Defense, with cutting-edge fire control and battlefield connectivity. Engineered for versatility, the 3105 supports both direct and indirect fire missions, expanding its tactical utility across a wide range of combat scenarios. With an elevation angle of up to 42°, fully automatic rapid loading system, the turret is capable of engaging targets in complex terrain and urban environments,(MOUT/FIBUA) as well as delivering high-elevation fire support. This elevation also enhances its effectiveness against aerial threats, including drones, making it a valuable asset in modern multi-domain operations. Its modular design allows for integration on a wide range of platforms, offering strategic advantage through precision strike capability and rapid deployment. The 3105 fires the full suite of NATO standard ammunition – HESH/HEP, HEAT, APFSDS, SMOKE, Canister and TP rounds.
CLWS (Cockerill Light Weapon System) 25mm: Remote Precision, Tactical Superiority
John Cockerill Defense will also present the CLWS (Cockerill Light Weapon Station), a remote-controlled turret equipped with a 25mm cannon. Compact and highly responsive, the CLWS is designed for light armored and unmanned vehicles and static defense positions. It offers day/night targeting, stabilized firing, and seamless integration with battlefield networks—delivering precision engagement while keeping operators protected.
Looking ahead, the CLWS will serve as the foundation for John Cockerill Defense’s future Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) solution, leveraging its agility, precision, and modularity to address the growing threat posed by drones and other aerial platforms. This evolution underscores the system’s adaptability and its strategic role in multi-domain defense environments.
Hornet Air Guard: Armored vehicles self-protection against drone
Unveiled for the first time at DSEI, come and discover on our stand the Hornet Remote Weapon Station in its self-protection version against drones for armored vehicles. Combat-proven and in service with the French Army, the Hornet RWS can be equipped with the Hornet Air Guard counter-drone kit.
Hornet Air Guard is a solution built on proven technologies to provide a pragmatic answer for any armoured vehicle capable of mounting a remote weapon station: 360° detection, optronic identification and tracking, kinetic neutralization, and intelligent smoke-screening. If you need an RWS for your mission, we also offer the very first layer of protection against drones.
