CMI to supply Galvanizing Line for Hot Rolled High-Strength Steel to Shougang

Shougang Group, one of China’s leading steelmakers, has awarded CMI Industry Metals a contract for a new 500.000 t/y Hot Rolled Continuous Galvanizing Line for hot rolled high-strength steel (HR HSS) with a tensile strength of up to 780 MPa and for strip thicknesses of up to 6mm. . The produced HR HSS provides characteristics that are interesting for chassis applications, and will allow achieving improved properties such as weight savings, improved performance and reductions in costs. This is another contract affirming CMI Industry’s technological leadership in steel engineering technologies.
