CMI Services provides leases and maintenance for 5 shunting locomotives
May 09th 2014
CMI Services began the first quarter of 2014 with three rent-maintenance leases for a total of 5 shunting locomotives.
Three Cockerill NH500B locomotives are thus made available to Eaux de Volvic (Danone Group, France) for connections between the production site and the local train station. The vehicles were registered for the occasion by the SNCF [i.e., National Society of French Railways]. This locomotive rent-maintenance lease covers a period of four years.
A Cockerill NH300B locomotive is available to Sinterco (Marche-les-Dames, Belgium), in a joint venture between Groupe Lhoist and the Brazilian company Magnesita. It will be used for two years between the Sinterco quarry and the nearest railway station of the SNCB [i.e., National Society of Belgian Railways].
The third contract is for the lease and maintenance of a Cockerill NH500B shunting locomotive at Terminal Container de Athus (Belgium), to shuttle between TCA and the SNCB station. These last two vehicles are approved by the SNCB.
The maintenance of these 5 shunting locomotives will be divided between the Belgian teams of CMI Locos Diesel and the French teams of CMI Maintenance Est.
