September 02nd 2024

A page is being turned at John Cockerill: Yves Honhon, Group CFO since September 3, 2001, is stepping down. Frédéric Lemaître, his right-hand man for 13 years, succeeds him as John Cockerill’s new CFO.

After a major contribution to John Cockerill’s development over the past twenty-three years, and the recent completion of major operations for the Group over the past two years, such as the integration of Hamon, the creation of Rely with Technip Energies, the financing of major investments by John Cockerill Hydrogen and the acquisition of Arquus, Yves Honhon stepped down as CFO of John Cockerill on August 31, 2024.

The entire Group expresses its sincere gratitude to him for the full commitment he has shown in each of his mandates, the solid team of experts he has built and developed, the vision he has shaped and the knowledge he has passed on and shared.

Yves Honhon’s successor, Frédéric Lemaître, joined the Group 13 years ago. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Liège and a Masters in International Relations and European Politics. Frédéric Lemaître initially held various positions within the Cockerill steel group, now ArcelorMittal. In 2012, he joined John Cockerill’s Finance Department as Group Accounting Manager. Frédéric Lemaître then held the roles of Group Financial Controller, Head of Group Finance and Deputy Chief Finance Officer. On September 1st, 2024, he became John Cockerill’s new CFO.

Frédéric has in-depth knowledge of the Group and of the structuring operations carried out in recent years. In his new role, he is supported by Carina Sutera Sardo, in charge of Treasury, Trade Finance and Export Credit, and assisted by a strong team of experts.
