Rely launches Clear100+, its green hydrogen configurable productized plant, and inaugurates its headquarters in Brussels
June 21st 2024
On June 19, 2024, Rely, the joint venture created in November 2023 by Technip Energies and John Cockerill, launched Clear100+, a configurable productized plant dedicated to large-scale production of green hydrogen. With its singular product approach, Rely enables a significant reduction of both CAPEX & OPEX and drives down the Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) by offering the market a safe and configurable pre-engineered plant with integrated performance guarantees, optimized footprint and reduced lead time. Clear100+ incorporates proven technologies, notably John Cockerill Hydrogen’s pressurized alkaline electrolyzers.
Clear100+ consists of a standard 100MW green hydrogen production plant, integrating John Cockerill alkaline electrolyzer stacks with process treatment units, in pre-assembly installation. Beyond the advantages of its cost-effective design, this integrated productized plant allows for the full safety of operations, a very compact footprint and an enhanced maintainability.
With Clear100+, Rely enables its industrial and energy customers to reach their destination towards their decarbonization goals, guaranteeing them a large-scale supply of accessible, reliable, safe and affordable green hydrogen.
Damier Eyriès, CEO of Rely, commented: “A few months only after our official creation, we are proud to launch Clear100+, our first productized plant. With this 100MW green hydrogen product, we provide the market with a solution that is quick to implement, reliable, safe, configurable and, overall, that will contribute to make the green hydrogen affordable. Rely capital structure, bringing together a world leading engineering and technology actor and the technological leader in alkaline electrolyzers, makes us the unique player to be able to offer to our customers such an integrated solution, guaranteeing simultaneously high performance and permanent access to the most innovative technologies. With Clear100+, we are committed to pave the way for our clients to reach their decarbonized destination.”

On June 20, 2024, Rely also inaugurated its headquarters in Brussels in the presence of Thomas Dermine, Secretary of State for Economic Recovery and Strategic Investments. Rely proposes a unique offering of standardized, configurable plants, alongside customized development services for projects to produce green hydrogen or its derivatives.
The choice of Brussels, and more generally Belgium, as the location for Rely’s headquarters makes sense in several respects. In addition to Brussels location halfway between the headquarters of Rely’s parent companies in Paris and Liège, Belgium is the ideal country, with its academic excellence and industrial tradition, to attract the talents needed for the growth of Rely, a company focused on innovation and the development of green hydrogen production technologies.
Located at the heart of Europe and with an international outlook, Brussels is also a commercially promising choice: at the heart of the Belgian hydrogen ecosystem and close to the Port of Antwerp, a platform for strategic exchanges and interactions with the world’s future green hydrogen-producing regions.
Damien Eyriès, CEO of Rely, said: “The day after the presentation of our first product, Clear100+, our standardized and configurable green hydrogen plant, and six months after our incorporation, we are proud to inaugurate today our headquarters in Brussels under the patronage of the Belgian authorities represented by Mr. Thomas Dermine. This location at the heart of Europe and global energy issues is a real asset for our company’s ambitions of innovation and international deployment.”
Thomas Dermine, Belgian Secretary of State for Economic Recovery and Strategic Investments, added: “I’m delighted to see a world-class company like Rely setting up in Belgium. This demonstrates the attractiveness of our country on the international scene and promises economic activity and jobs for our fellow citizens. I welcome the support that the Belgian authorities, at all levels of power, can give to the low-carbon hydrogen sector, which will make a major contribution to achieving European objectives in the fight against climate change and to decarbonizing our industry.“
